The article examined intergenerational educational mobility in Himachal Pradesh among caste groups by using the Indian Human Development Survey 2011-12 dataset. The mobility matrix has been analyzed to calculate intergenerational educational mobility. The article reveals a huge disparity in intergenerational educational mobility among the different caste groups, where the general caste shows overall upward mobility in all educational levels compared to other castes. However, Sc and St categories show the improvement in their educational attainments.
